I have completed a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Ottawa. I am currently registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
I am particularly interested in humanistic therapies and use an integrative framework, often using DBT, ACT, and emotion-focused therapy to best support my clients needs and objectives. I provide a non-judgemental and empathetic space to create warm and compassionate therapeutic relationships.
I help clients build strengths, develop long-term coping skills to promote self-discovery, insight, growth, and positive change at a pace that feels right for each client. I collaborate with clients in a healing environment ensuring that they feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings while continuously offering my support, respect, and care.

Trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy that takes a life-course developmental view of human growth, I also introduce cognitive-behavioural, behavioural and humanistic principles into my therapeutic approach. In therapy, this means that we will explore your past and present, looking at what has motivated you to take action or what has stimulated your thoughts and feelings—all of which have brought you to the present time. Other times, it may mean that therapy will focus on developing new ways to cope. I provide an accepting environment for patients from all walks of life to explore their inner and outer worlds without the fear of judgment.
After completing a BA in Psychology from McGill University in Montréal, QC, I went on to earn an MA in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. I have worked at a number of community mental health centers, hospitals and private practices in Canada and the United States since 2000. I welcome new clients and look forward to creating collaborative relationships to help improve your sense of well-being.

Life has a way of throwing us off course with unexpected hurdles. When those moments hit, therapy becomes a reliable compass.
My ultimate goal is to provide you with a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space that is built on trust and transparency where you can untangle your thoughts, feelings and concerns, especially when things feel overwhelming. Together, we’ll untie the knots, expose past coping strategies that are no longer serving you, uncover your hidden strengths, reframe challenges as opportunities for growth and create more effective patterns in your life. I believe that clients already have the internal strength needed to reach their goals, and that my role is to help them build upon their skills to attain those goals.
I strive to meet clients where they are in their journey, and approach each person with an individualized and collaborative perspective. As part of this process, I use an integrative approach to counselling that draws from cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), humanistic therapy and solution-focused therapy. I often incorporate mindfulness, emotion-focused or narrative practices into sessions as well. This flexibility allows me to customize my approach to best meet your needs.
I work with adolescents (ages 13+), adults and couples experiencing a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, emotion dysregulation, stress, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, understanding of self and identity, parenting and life transitions. I also have a special passion for supporting those struggling with infertility and pre- to post-natal life transitions.
In sessions, I want to make my clients feel seen, heard and understood. But more than that, my aim is to find the appropriate coping strategies that work for each person and can help relieve some of their distress, manage symptoms and improve their overall mental health well-being.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University and am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO. I am also a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Prior to embarking on a career in psychotherapy, I worked in the public relations and communications sector and also supported children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

I strive to create a non-judgemental, collaborative space guided by compassionate curiosity in which we can explore your fears, anxieties, relationships and general life challenges. Working together, we explore new ways of understanding your inner self, your world and your relationships and examine old patterns that may no longer serve you well and seek to create new ones that are more effective.
My professional background is diverse and varied, including working as a professional audio engineer and touring musician, a creative services client representative and project manager. I come to psychotherapy after several years in advocacy and caregiving roles dealing with end-of-life issues, acute care and disability. All of these experiences have informed my connection with people and helped to realize my calling helping others through their own life challenges.
I see both individuals and couples for therapy. My approach is psychodynamic which means by using empathy, compassion and deep listening we work together to examine the sometimes-hidden motivations and processes that may be contributing negatively to your current situation or issues. We’ll work on the issues that you wish to explore at a pace that works for you.
For couples’ therapy, I follow Emotionally Focused Therapy, developed by Sue Johnson to explore the emotions and attachment wounds that are behind the patterns of conflict or distress that you and your partner may find yourselves caught in.
